This Buy (Hold) & Write strategy blog will serve as a real-money model portfolio demonstration versus a Buy Only strategy. It assumes investing in companies that the investor more or less intends to own for a fairly long time, either for their growth potential and/or their income production (dividends). Whenever possible, calls will be written against the held positions, thus establishing a “covered call” position. The idea is to, over time, reduce one’s breakeven point in the underlying securities.
